Thank you to all the runners, volunteers, and sponsors that made this year’s race a success!
2019 race results can be found here.
The Reiche International is a beautiful 5 kilometer run through Portland’s scenic West End neighborhood at the peak of the Fall season. The race supports Maine’s most ethnically diverse elementary school, Reiche Community School, by funding enrichment programs aimed at physical activity and inclusion.
This year’s theme was FOOD! Participants dressed up as cuisine, cookery, chefs, or any other creative choices from the world of comestibles.
As always, walkers are welcome!
The race starts and ends at Reiche Community School. The well-marked single loop course begins on Brackett Street and continues through the streets of the West End including Chadwick, Neal, Pine and Spring Streets. It includes one climb—behind the Western Prom Cemetery. Otherwise it’s fast and flat.
Do more than run! Become a host! Or a Sponsor!
We invite all community members to join the Host Committee!
Last year was a big milestone for the Reiche 5K. We had a great turn out and a lot of fun. For the first time, a host committee was formed to allow community members to elevate their show of support. Membership donations start at $100. Members of the committee are simply asked to be ambassadors of Reiche School and this event to the other communities of which they are members. The funds raised allow for all Reiche students to run the Reiche 5K for free. Please consider becoming a member of the Host Committee.
We love our race sponsors! Local businesses have provided amazing support for this fun event from the beginning, and we are thankful. For details on joining this fabulous group contact email@example.com
